Dog Training Classes for 2009
Conformation, Agility, Obedience, Puppy
PUPPY CLASSES:
Sara Middleton will be holding an "open" drop in puppy class beginning in April. Class will be held Wednesdays at 5:00 pm. Puppies must be between 12-22 weeks old and current on vaccinations.
The open class format is designed to socialize your puppy and to teach basic manners, to lay a foundation for obedience classes, and for you to enjoy being with your pup!
Learn basic cues

Have fun with simple agility obstacles

Take group hikes

Be exposed to farm animals, other dogs, people and children

You will get great advice on raising your puppy too.

Cost: $10 a class...you may come to one, come to all, come when you can!!!
Location: Burton area, north of Linden

OBEDIENCE CLASSES:
Kathy Zavodjancik will be teaching dog obedience classes in Show Low and Overgaard.
Teach your dog to sit, lie down, heel, and stay.
First session of classes begin June 6th and will be 6 weeks long.
Second session will begin July 25th.

AGILITY CLASSES:
*BEGINNER I INTRODUCTION TO AGILITY
This class is designed to introduce you and your dog to the sport of dog agility. Dogs will learn
how to perform the various obstacles found in agility. Come have fun while teaching your dog
how to jump, walk on dogwalks, scramble over the A-Frame, run through tunnels, negotiate the
teeter, and other obstacles.
Classes will be held on Saturdays at 8:30 am at Sequioa School in Linden.
First session will begin June 13 and will be 6 weeks long.

*BEGINNER II AGILITY CLASS
This class is designed for dogs who have already taken an introductory level agility class. Completion of Beginner I class or permission from instructor required. Dogs and owners will learn to work together to complete sequences of obstacles. The front cross, rear cross, switching sides, out , and here are the basic commands we will work on. Dogs will also gain more confidence on the various obstacles.
Classes will be held Thursdays at 5:00pm at Mountain Meadow Recreation Complex in Pinetop-Lakeside.
First session will begin June 4 and will be 6 weeks long.

CONFORMATION CLASSES:
Christie Eaton will be holding "open" conformation classes this spring and summer.
This class is for all levels, from the Novice wanting to learn to show their purebred to the Experienced wanting practice and expert advice. Junior handlers are also welcomed.
